Martha Cooper and Ninja K. accompanied the 1UP crew on their nightly tours in Berlin during one week. Photographs taken during these actions were presented in May 2018 at the “One Week with 1UP” exhibition at the Urban Spree Gallery. The book was published on the same evening in the Urban Spree and signed live by Martha Cooper for hundreds of visitors. It was a sales exhibition of large-format, noble prints and framed accordingly.
Of all things it was the Goethe Institut in Brussels that brought this exhibition to the Belgian capital in March 2019. In addition to the “One Week with 1 UP” photos by Martha Cooper and Ninja K., photos from other projects were also presented, such as a wholetrain created in Brussels and the video documentation of the painting action of a huge 1 UP piece on a shipwreck off the Greek coast.
