the haus – berlin art bang – “created to be destroyed”

, by Bart Van Kersavond

an urban-art-project, which attracts all attention is  “the haus” in berlin.
a resident bank building in the center of west berlin, has been converted into an urban art gallery since the beginning of the year; 80 rooms and over 150 artists are involved. until the end of may, you can still visit it, afterwards the building and thus all works are destroyed.

a visit starts with the handing over of a plastic bag in which the cell phone comes, because photos are forbidden here.
and this rule has a refreshing effect: the visitors are more focused on the work, interact with the artists on the spot and are more prudent.
urbanpresents had the permission to make some detailed shots.
i can not only recommend you to visit “the house”, but also to buy the book; It includes every amount of information about the artists and impressive photographs.

respect to x-design for the concept and implementation of this project!
